Assessment Requirements:

This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs).

2. Aims and Objectives of the Qualification

The IAO Level 3 Certificate in Cycle Maintenance (QCF) provides Learners with the knowledge and skills to complete advanced repairs and maintenance of cycles to set standards in the sector. The qualification sets the standard required to undertake complex services, problem solving tasks and mechanical repairs with the use of specialist equipment.

3. Entry Guidance

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

This qualification is suitable for those who work, or who are looking to work within the Cycling and Leisure sector. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge across the workshop and store environments and this qualification will help improve and gain the skills, knowledge and understanding required to undertake cycle maintenance for enjoyment as well as an occupation.

4. Progression Opportunities

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into further vocational qualifications in sports, fitness or cycle mechanics.
